Yes Man by Danny Wallace

Danny Wallace creates a fun and witty way on presenting his life as a 'Yes Man' for almost a year. When Wallace is told to 'say yes more' from a stranger on a bus, he decides to take the man up on the offer and ends up saying yes to everything until the beginning of the next year. He gets himself in situations that no one would ever want to be in. Very funny, although it did have a lull in the later part of the middle. Overall, great book and I can't wait to read more by him. This is a great read for everyone :)

Is this the guy that does projects that last a year and then writes books about them?

Well, he calls them 'stupid boy projects' and the time alloted really just depends on what needs to be done. For example he has another book named 'Join Me!' where he places an ad in the newspaper that reads 'join me' to see if anyone will. After awhile he gets a pretty big following but doesn't know what to do with them. in the next book--'Random Act of Kindess' he decides that everyone in the join me club should perform one random act of kindess each Friday and the book is a collection of these acts. The most recent book 'With Friends Like These' he's trying to track down some childhood friends. So in short... I don't think this is the guy you're thinking of.

You might be thinking of Morgan Spurlock from Super Size Me. He did do a short lived series where he lived a life style for 30 days and filmed it. He did things like being homeless, being in jail, being a drunk etc. etc.
